How to take good selfies

If you're using our Android SDK, we take care of image quality with our unique SmartSelfie™ capture. Furthermore, iOS devices have consistently strong camera hardware and thus generally results in good quality images for us to process.

However, if you choose to capture images without the use of one of our SDKs we strongly encourage you to provide your users an example of best practices for image capture.

A few rules for uploading selfie images

• We suggest maximum resolution of 640x480, and maximum file size of 150 kbs

• If images are too big we will shrink them but larger files will take longer to upload

• File types we support are PNG, JPEG, and BASE64 String
